Greg Stack, AIA, LEED AP, Principal Back to Thought Leaders

Greg Stack is Principal at NAC|Architecture and is the K-12 Thought Leader at the firm.

An important aspect of his work is bringing to consensus diverse stakeholder groups by facilitating discussions of educational issues. Greg's knowledge, thoughtfulness, and listening skills allow him to help people find common ground and move their projects forward. He works with citizen groups in developing long-term capital project plans; with staff, parents, and neighbors in designing individual schools; and with bond planning committees in creating compelling ballot measures for school construction funding. He assists educators, communities, and other stakeholders in thinking about the future and how to provide the best educational opportunities for their students.

Greg Stack is a school designer and architect who uses practical experience and evidence-based decision making to help clients think about school planning and design. Greg has led the planning and design effort on school projects at all levels, from preliminary planning through post-occupancy evaluation. His background is broad and deep, giving him both a theoretical and practical basis for decision making. His experience in working with hundreds of educators, school boards, parents, students, and community stakeholders, facilities staff and contractors, enables him to understand the various perspectives that influence school design. He distills these perspectives to identify the important issues, and provides insights to stakeholders that bring them to consensus.

Greg is passionate about the planning and design of learning environments and seeks to create environments that inspire students to find their full potential.
