Communities in Schools

Spokane County

NAC Architecture once again teamed up with Communities in Schools of Spokane of Spokane County (CISSC) and challenged all local architectural and engineering firms, general contractors, and subconsultants to step up and see who could donate the most money and/or school supplies for students in need at 12 local middle and high schools as part of KREM 2's month-long campaign to encourage people and businesses to donate school supplies. In total, CISSC handed out 2,250 backpacks.

NAC hosted a barbecue for the firms that participated in the challenge to celebrate the success of the friendly competition which raised $7,095 providing over 700 kids with backpacks and supplies. Laura Papetti of KREM 2 and Chuck Teegarden, Executive Director of CISSC, spoke of the need in this area and thanked the community for their support. Top fundraisers were NAC Architecture, DCI Engineers and Coffman Engineers.
