Esmeralda Ward, AIA, LEED AP
Associate Principal
I am particularly interested in looking for the points in our projects where sustainability, education and optimism intersect. The climate challenges our world faces today can feel daunting and insurmountable; but by finding the places where we can build knowledge and a culture of stewardship through our work, we invite optimism back in. That optimism and the NAC culture that thrives on a newly-presented challenge is why I am here, and why I love my work.

Esmeralda has more than 18 years of experience working with educational clients in the planning, design, and construction of learning facilities. She heads the sustainability department at NAC Los Angeles, and, as an advocate of sustainable design, she is an expert in embedding deep sustainability in educational facilities and passionate about current developments in sustainable strategies. Esmeralda holds degrees from the University of Virginia and Southern California Institute of Architecture.
