Principal owner of 4orm, Manasa Vishwanath, has provided these services for new and renovated medical office buildings, physician offices and dental clinics throughout her 14-year career. Previously, they worked together for nine years completing both new and renovation projects for medical and dental clients throughout the Northwest and for orthodontic clinics across the country.
Dental and Orthodontic Design Projects:
Damon Orthodontics South, Spokane, Washington: The Damon Orthodontics Office, located on the South Hill, wanted to make a splash with their orthodontic office remodel. Located in a small, shared satellite office, cousins Dr. Clay Damon and Dr. Paul Damon looked to create a warm, modern and fun environment for their mostly adolescent patients. The water-themed office evolved with the addition of three LED acrylic bubble columns in the brushing and treatment areas. A custom digital vinyl wall covering of a wave tube defines the waiting room, giving this interior space the look and feel of being on the beach. Borrowing from the sandstone colors of the beach, stone veneer panels are featured at the reception desk, as well as lit under the transaction countertop. Wood tones are dark and rich through the space, accenting the sand and surf features throughout. Aqua-colored glass cylinders are repeated throughout the space adding a fresh feel to the office. The efficient and functional open-treatment bay features three treatment chairs and takes full advantage of exterior views to the west, allowing a high level of natural light.
The kiDDS Place, Spokane, Washington: This unique, northwest nostalgia themed suite build-out was created for a pediatric dental office design. The playful environment features peeled log framing, a log cabin play house, a teepee and a video game area under tree limbs. Featuring slate tile, wood plank vinyl flooring and wrought iron incorporated throughout, the nature inspired dental office design, attention to detail and the use of finishes provide a sense of warmth and comfort for young patients and families. This project was designed by Coleen Monaghan while she was a Principal with a previous firm.
Armstrong and Pickard Orthodontics, Pullman, Washington: This 3,100-square-foot orthodontic office design was led by Manasa Vishwanath prior to joining NAC|Architecture . With smooth and uninterrupted patient and staff flow being the primary design influence, uncluttered spaces, rich earth tones, and a contemporary flair combine to make this a very inviting and functional milieu. This remodel gets a fresh, dynamic appearance from its simplicity with an occasional and invigorating dash of color.
Orchard Hills Pediatric Dentistry, Richland, Washington
Mahaffey Orthodontics , Peachtree City, Georgia
Peterson Dental, Spokane, Washington: Designing this 6,000-square-foot dental office design in a historic neighborhood presented unique challenges as well as exciting opportunities. The site is located on a cliff overlooking the Spokane River. The craftsman style building sits among old and elegant structures, introducing a fresh expression. A combination of calming colors, rich woodwork, appealing artwork, offset lighting and residential-style furnishings ensure a pleasant experience for patients. Extensive planning was put into functional patient and staff flows. The result is an elegant and efficient dental architectural design. This project was designed by Coleen Monaghan and Manasa Vishwanath while with a previous firm.
Riverstone Orthodontics, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Scott Orthodontics, Silver Spring, Maryland: This 3,000-square-foot orthodontic office design combines contemporary style, today’s digital efficiency and an eye-catching spectrum of attractive forms, surfaces and textures. Hard and soft, light and dark and warm and stark are the paired qualities that the design evokes through the orchestration of space, form and especially the use of materials. This project was designed by Manasa Vishwanath while with a previous firm.
Damon Orthodontics North, Spokane, Washington: This project entailed the redesign of an existing 4,000-square-foot office on the 7th floor of a building. With spectacular views from the location, the orthodontic office design was organized around maximizing the views from any position in the office. The client also desired an emphasis on technology, which was addressed with flat panel televisions, virtual aquariums, internet access, and the newest in video games.
Collins Orthodontics, Griffin, Georgia: The treatment room in this 3,500-square-foot orthodontic office is located to promote a natural, efficient flow for patients and staff, with convenient X-ray and private treatment rooms nearby. The doctor’s passion for collecting rock and roll music memorabilia inspired the design. Bold colors and metallic accents compliment the artwork and features include a juke box that patients can play. This project was designed by Coleen Monaghan and Manasa Vishwanath while with a previous firm.
Sinha Orthodontics, Spokane Valley, Washington: This northwest contemporary orthodontic office design fulfills Dr. Sinha’s desire for a recognizable identity in the Spokane Valley community. The focus of the 3,600-square-foot facility was on smooth, efficient patient and staff flow and a contemporary palette. Designed by Manasa Vishwanath prior to joining NAC|Architecture, the artistic use of materials and lighting makes this thoughtfully planned interior both appealing and inviting.
Collins Orthodontics, Stockbridge, Georgia: This orthodontic office remodel was inspired by Dr. Collins’ new office in Griffin, Georgia. It was a challenge to create updated modern feel working around finishes that could not change and provide efficient patient flow in an existing office footprint. Solutions were achieved through creative thinking, efficient use of unique materials and incorporating elements such as a juke box and new game area for the patients. This project was designed by Coleen Monaghan and Manasa Vishwanath while with a previous firm.
Theroux Orthodontics, Greenwood Village, Colorado: This 3,000-square-foot orthodontic office design located in a residential area is home to Dr. Kevin Theroux, D.D.S. Orthodontics. The most unique element of Dr. Theroux’s office is the largest orthodontic arcade in the Denver area. It boasts a Hawaiian hut theme, featuring surfing memorabilia and game stations suited for various ages. The rest of the office is a soothing, modern design with warm and comfortable colors and finishes. This project was designed by Coleen Monaghan while she was a Principal with a previous firm.
Prairie Ridge Orthodontics, Owatonna, Minnesota: The low horizontal lines prevalent throughout the interior space of this 5,000-square-foot orthodontic office design embody the elements of prairie-style architecture. Attention to custom detailing, soffits and the use of earth tones in the materials and finishes created the environment desired by the owner. This project was designed by Coleen Monaghan while Principal at a previous firm.
Diaz Orthodontics, Orlando, Florida
Baarsvik Orthodontics, North Dartmouth, Massachusetts: This orthodontic interior design was a renovation and addition to a historic post office building. The first floor is 3,700 square feet of orthodontic office with a second floor of 1,000 square feet housing a large lab and staff areas. Designed by Coleen Monaghan while she was a Principal with another firm, the office features a video game room and generous bay window seats for patients and parents in the treatment area.
