Two NAC Architecture projects were honored at the 2018 AIA Spokane Design Awards. Pullman High School received an Honor Award and Yellowstone Hall a Citation Award.

The design of Pullman High School in Pullman, Washington, is a marriage of the site context with a desire to create outwardly focused learning environments. The new high school replaced the existing school at the same location which sits above the city on one of the many surrounding iconic hills. The initial concepts were organized based on the contrast of the natural rolling hills superimposed by the network of highways and roads connecting the community together. The selection of materials reinforces this with the colors and textures of the area.

Montana State University's mission is to educate and serve communities by integrating learning, discovery and engagement. Yellowstone Hall is a vibrant hub where these tenets intersect, and students interact to establish community. Ten distinct neighborhoods were created throughout the building, each with its own RA, shared bathrooms, and community study/lounge space. The design accounts for a variety of learning and socialization styles by providing numerous types of interactive spaces throughout the building.
