Pierce McVey
Pierce approaches design as a means to advance healthy communities and user well-being. Drawing on extensive healthcare experience, he collaborates closely with stakeholders and design teams to improve staff retention, support positive patient outcomes, and implement high-performing, sustainable systems. His work has earned numerous regional and national AIA awards. Pierce holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, where he recently served as a Visiting Professor. Active in the AIA nationally, he is currently the President of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health.
I value the exploratory nature of the design process, particularly when it leads to unexpected outcomes. Collaborating with highly engaged healthcare professionals is especially rewarding, as the constant exchange of knowledge continually informs and sharpens design thinking and decision-making.
